You must perform many prostrations to Allah, for you do not prostrate to Allah a prostration, except that Allah will raise you a degree for it and erase a sin for it.”
Muslim 488 transmitted it.
▣ 9. Enjoining Virtues and prohibiting vices.
Allah تعالى says:
{ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتُ بَعۡضُهُمۡ أَوۡلِیَاۤءُ بَعۡضࣲۚ یَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَیَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَیُقِیمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَیُؤۡتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَیُطِیعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥۤۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ سَیَرۡحَمُهُمُ ٱللَّهُۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِیزٌ حَكِیمࣱ }
The believers, men and women, are Auliya' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden); they perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
Surah At-Tawbah 71
In this ayah is an evidence that the work of Enjoining Virtues and prohibiting vices is not specific to men rather, even upon the women is to enjoin virtues and prohibit vices but it's restricted to the circle and gatherings of women, the says of wedding and studies, and similar places, if she sees a vices she prohibits and of she sees a negligence then she commands because Enjoining Virtues and prohibiting vices is for both the Believing male and female.
Sharh Riyaadu As-Saalihin 9/24.
Abu Saeed Al-Khudree رضي الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
مَنْ رَأَى مِنْكُمْ مُنْكَرًا فَلْيُغَيِّرْهُ بِيَدِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِلِسَانِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِقَلْبِهِ وَذَلِكَ أَضْعَفُ الإِيمَانِ " .
He who sees amongst you something abominable should modify it with the help of his hand(authority); and if he has not capable, then he should do it with his tongue, and if he has not capable, (even) then he should (hate it) from his heart, and that is the least of eemaan.
Muslim 49 transmitted it
▣ 10. Seeking knowledge
Allaah تعالى says:
{ یَرۡفَعِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمۡ وَٱلَّذِینَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلۡعِلۡمَ دَرَجَـٰتࣲۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِیرࣱ }
Allah will exalt in those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge more degrees. And Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.
Mu'aawiyah رضي الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ
Whoever Allah intend good for, he grants him the understanding of the Deen.
Bukhari 71 and Muslim 1037
Imaam Shaafi' رحمه الله said:
Seeking knowledge is more virtues than naflah salah
Aadab Ash-Shaafi' wa manaqibihi by Ibn Abi Haatim 72
Imam Ahmad رحمه الله said
The best of action is seeking knowledge for the one who authenticates his intentions by being humble and intending removing ignorance from himself.
Tabaqaat Al-Hanabilah 1/380. With a slight paraphrase
Ibnu Mubaarak رحمه الله said
I don't know of anything after Prophethood more virtues than spreading knowledge.
Siyar Alaam An-Nubala 8/387
▣ 11. Recitation of the Qur'aan
Allah تعالى says:
{ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ یَتۡلُونَ كِتَـٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنَـٰهُمۡ سِرࣰّا وَعَلَانِیَةࣰ یَرۡجُونَ تِجَـٰرَةࣰ لَّن تَبُورَ }
Verily, those who recite the Book of Allah (this Quran), and perform AsSalat (IqamatasSalat), and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, hope for a (sure) tradegain that will never perish.
